About Torchbearers
Capernwray Bali is part of the Torchbearers International Family.
Torchbearers began in response to the spiritual vacuum left in the lives of young people in England and Germany post-World War II. This need led to the purchase of “Capernwray Hall” in 1946, near the Lake District of Northern England. In the early years, it was mostly German students who attended the Bible schools and they called themselves the “Fackelträger”: the carriers of the torch. Thus, in 1947, “Torchbearers” began! Since those humble beginnings, the ministry has grown to more than 25 centers all across the globe. The focus has always been the teaching of God’s Word, centering on Christ’s work in our lives.
